Between 20 April and 11 June 2023, 45 Brussels residents selected by lot and 15 representatives of the Brussels Parliament discussed the following issue in a deliberative committee:
“Mobility, industrial, commercial and recreational activities… the city is a source of noise. The Brussels Region has adopted the quiet.brussels plan to limit the effects of noise on the health and well-being of its residents.
Therefore, what measures should be promoted to control noise in public spaces in Brussels?”
At the end of their work, they drew up a series of proposed recommendations, which were debated, sometimes merged, and put to the vote.
